Hand Talk – Privacy policy

1. Introduction
Thanks for choosing Hand Talk!
This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) details all personal data we get from you, how we process it, and your rights and duties towards it. Hand Talk, a company based at Coronel Murilo Otávio de Barros street, Gruta de Lourdes, zipcode 57052-401, Maceio, Alagoas – Brazil, holds data under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and any other relevant local regulation. (“Data Protection Law”).
By using or accessing the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We may update our Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our information practices. If we do so and the changes are material, we will post a note that we have made changes to this Privacy Policy on the website for at least 7 days before the changes are made and indicate the date on which these terms were last revised on bottom of the Privacy Policy. Any revisions to this Privacy Policy will take effect at the end of that 7 day period.
2. Data we collect
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share your personal data.
2.1 Information you share
During the register process, you will provide us your name, e-mail address and profile (deaf or listener).
The audios created by the voice recognition software will not be stored in our app nor send to third parties.
All translations are registered and make part of the user history at the app. We also use all the translated phrases (anonymously, not identifying the user) to train our translation machine, enhancing the quality of all translations performed by the Hand Talk Neural Net.
2.2 Third Parties Data
The app uses services from Partners that may collect information used for identification. Link to the Privacy Policy of Service providers Partners used by the app: Google Play Services.
2.3 Error Analysis
We want to inform you that every time you use our app and an error occurs, we collect data and information at your phone through our partner’s product, Crashlytics. This register data may include information such as your device IP address, your device name, operating system version, settings of the app while using our service, time and date of use of the service and other statistics.
3. Cookies
Cookies are files that carry a small quantity of data, commonly used as anonymous exclusive identifiers. They are sent to our browser from the visited websites and stored at the internal memory of your device.
This service does not use “cookies” explicitly. Nevertheless, the app may use code and library of third parties who use cookies to collect data and improve their services. You have the option to accept or decline those cookies and to know when a cookie is sent to your device. If you choose to decline our cookies, you may not be able to use some parts of our service.
4. Use of data obtained by Hand Talk
Hand Talk can occasionally send you advertisement concerning new app functions, bank holidays, or information about new clients who came to access your website.
We can also use your contacts to send you notifications on new services and sales offered by Hand Talk, if you agree to receive these messages.
5. Sharing your personal data third parties
Hand Talk shares your personal data only when necessary to offer you a service, when it’s legally required or when allowed by you.
We provide personal data to cloud hosting providers, like Google, analytic providers, like Firebase, and custom support providers, like ZenDesk.
These companies will help us to offer you a better service. For instance, we can share your information to discover where or how you found a bug in our mobile app. Connecting those processes, our providers will have access to your personal data during a limited amount of time.
6. Links to other sites
This service may contain links to other websites. We do not take responsibilities over their privacy politics. We encourage our users to pay attention when leaving our Service and to carefully read the privacy policy of other websites that collects personal data. This privacy policy only applies to information collected through Hand Talk Service.
7. Children and teenagers privacy
Hand Talk Services are not entitled to people under the age of 13. We do not deliberately collect personal data from children under 13 years old or under the minimum age limit (onward designated by “minimum age limit”). If the user is under the minimum age limit, it should not use the Hand Talk services nor provide us any personal data. If you are a parent or carer who knows your child is providing us personal information, please contact us so we can take the applicable measures.
General Conditions
- a) The terms of this Privacy Policy can be updated and modified at any time, the new version being updated at the Hand Talk app. You will be informed about any change, but it’s your responsibility to regularly verify the pp to keep yourself updated about storage and use of your personal data.
- b) This Privacy Policy will be interpreted and ruled under the Brazilian legislation and applied in all Brazilian territory, The parties elect, to solve any question, demand or disagreement created by the User Agreement, the Law Court of Maceió city, state of Alagoas, Brazil.
